Marissa is our dedicated Diversity and Inclusion staff attorney with a wealth of experience in implicit bias, cultural awareness, and mindfulness. Her impressive background includes working as an Investigator at The Office of Diversity and Inclusion at Ohio State University, the Equality Ohio Legal Clinic, and the Ohio Civil Rights Commission. Marissa has also gained valuable experience in the corporate sector, having previously worked at Thompson Hine LLP and Battelle and currently serving as Associate Counsel with JPMorgan Chase.

In addition to her professional accomplishments, Marissa is passionate about supporting minority-owned small businesses, equipping them with the necessary tools to succeed and thrive. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Minor in Legal Foundations of Society from The Ohio State University. She is an alumna of the University of Dayton School of Law's two-year accelerated JD Program.

Marissa is proud to call Columbus, Ohio, her home and is a devoted dog mom to a lovable Goldendoodle. She is an active member of the Ohio Bar Association, Columbus Urban League of Young Professionals, and an alumna of Sigma Lambda Gamma National Sorority, Inc. In her free time, Marissa volunteers with the TransOhio Name Change Clinic, demonstrating her commitment to positively impacting her community.
